People who think that because they are panicking that I should panic too. Or that I should feel bad because they feel bad.
Lol, my ex used to come in and say, "I have some good news for you!"
It was always something that was good for her and nothing to do with me. Sure I was happy for her but it was not my good news. Dunno why she didn't get the distinction.

I laughed when I saw this. Not in spite, I get the same thing.
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

And another one. Also with a grin.

I do get sometimes that others won't get me.

A year ago I caused an accident with daughter in the middle of the road with our bicycles. She was livid, with all furious passion she has. And I saw she had no major damage, calmly shoved her to the side of the road, gave her a quick hug, and then, just as calmly picked up the pieces from the road. When the road was clean, I told her she probably thought I acted horribly, but I thought being safe for her and other road users came before emotions.
Then I apologised and got her home safely, and she said she had thought me completely bonkers at first, not reacting on any of her fury.

She could laugh at it afterwards, as could I.

I sympathize with people who feel objectified for their sex appeal, but I doubt I'll ever truly "get it."  :tard:

I don't get the appeal of the classic, cheesy  "romantic"  date ideas and gestures.
I don't want to have a picnic.  That's the one I really don't get.  What is so wonderful
about eating food out of a basket on a blanket while sitting on the ground with the ants?

Sugarbutt and I still date at least once per month or so. The last picnic he took me out was a few months ago for our 25th anniversary. We sat on the beach and watched the sunset while eating lobster and crab, along with a bottle of the same champagne we drank for our wedding toast.

That's a classier setup than sitting on the ground sharing sandwiches with the ants.  Happy 25th.  8)

Sugarbutt's a true corny romantic. He even has a cliché wicker picnic basket.  :hahaha: He buys me flowers every time he grocery shops, and he picks roses from his garden and puts them in a tiny vase by my computer.  :orly:

I should have been wearing sunblock all these years, but at least I've never actively tanned.  8)

The sun does good things for your skin too, the vitamine D your skin makes may be protecting your skin from cancer (there are indications that this may be so, if I understood it right, research is being done on that). Sunblock is not needed for most people to wear all the time. In cases of some types of medication or afflictions, it may be needed though.
