"Skin hunger"/the supposedly universal human need for touch.
Didn't get that particular set of neurons.  :dunno:

Didn't think I had them either but I don't mind sometimes if Py touches me. Most other people smell bad so I don't let them get near.

Do you have an unusually acute sense of smell then?  :nerd!:

How people can have fun on ferris wheels and roller coasters.

I'm afraid of actual roller coasters   :rollercoaster:   but I like the
drop in my stomach when the cabdriver goes down a hill really fast!

I don't understand the urge to climb Everest, K2, etc., because it's all been done, and it's
dangerous and painful.  I've read that brain cells dies at those altitudes.  I've none to spare!

I love roller coasters, but I only like the big ones at amusement parks. Those rides that get moved around, torn down and reconstructed over and over freak me out. :aff:

Vestibular stimulation. Roller coasters destress me and relieve depression and anxiety.
I once rode the Superman roller coaster (77mph peak speed) at six flags in W. Springfield MA seven times in a row. I stopped because they banned me for the day.

there is a little extra excitement in riding something rickety. i rode the cyclone at coney island in nyc. it rattled and creaked all the way. there are a couple at universal studios in orlando that are the same way.

Yeah, but coney island and universal studios don't move around from town to town. Those places have maintenance crews. I'm talking about things like short term fairs and carnivals, where they take them apart. A long time ago I saw one of those dateline special type shows about mobile carnivals rides and it scared the crap out of me. If I had never seen that, then I probably wouldn't even think about it or care.  :dunno:

Exactly.  There's a traveling carnival that sets up in a parking lot near my house every summer,
and I wouldn't get on any of those rides.  I know from my experience taking things apart and putting them
back together at work that all that wear and tear can cause weakening and breakage of  components.  :nerdy:

I don't get rom-coms/"chick flicks."   I love action, suspense, and a good laugh at the movies!

I don't understand why people talk while at the movies.

I don't understand why people talk while at the movies.

Even more bewildering: the people who arrive 15-20 minutes late, having paid full price
for a movie they're not going to understand because they've missed so much of it.
On top of that, they block the screen with their big stupid heads as they get themselves seated.
They're probably the ones doing the most talking as they try to figure out the plot.  Assholes.  :fp:
