i would love to know how these people find the time to form a parent group.  i am a parent.  it takes up a lot of my time and i can tell you i dont have the time to look around at what other people are doing or letting their kids do....or what they are watching on tv.

Most "pro aspie" groups are also retarded. Their leading quarters consist mainly of NTs stigmatizing aspies more instead of aspies speaking for themselves.

The group I go to is run by non-autistics and I don't mind.

Would you like a black civil rights group to be run by whites, if you were black? Would you like a gay right group to be run by outspoken heteros, if you were gay? Don't think so.

It is kind of different since being black or gay isn't being disabled. At the group I go to, people are disabled by their autism and I don't think we could all get together and organise future group meetings and venues without outside help.

I am going to the group this coming Friday and it is meant to be about looking for a job that is relevant to skills and interests. Doesn't really apply to me but I am going anyway.
