And she was Mariska Hargitay's mother.  :)
Cool info, I can't + you for it though.  :2thumbsup:

Thank you. I really like Mariska Hargitay.  :)

Did you know that she was in the car during the accident that killed her mother?  She was three years old and asleep in the back seat with her two older brothers while her mother was in the front seat with her boyfriend and a male driver.  The driver was driving too fast and failed to see a truck before it was too late because a mosquito truck had just sprayed for mosquitoes and he plowed into the back of it and the car went partly under it.  It cut off the top of the car and all three people in the front seat were killed instantly, while the sleeping children in the back seat had only minor injuries.

Yeah, I watch SVU myself from time to time. Jerry Orbach as Lenny Briscoe is still my favorite from any of those shows. RIP Jerry.

Wow. It really sucked for those children.

My dad had to live through something similar.

He was in the family car with his older sister driving when she lost control and spun out into a ditch.

It was an older car that didn't have saftey glass and the broken glass cut up both my dad and my aunt. She got the worse of it and bled to death. My dad still has scars from the accident.

That sucks. Even wrecks that don't leave people dead or mangled will jangle the nerves.

I have read that story, yes. Poor little kids, to lose their mom so young, but I'm glad they survived.

From what I've heard of Orbach, he was a classy guy.  :)
