Do u use the quick reply box?

As in the kinda thing we had on zomg, where you don';t have to click thru to the next page to type your reply, you just type it in the box at the bottom of the page (if you're on a thread)

I first started using it on here when I noticed it in the options when I was here in 08. It is a lot easier. Only thing is if you wanna attach a picture or add a smiley you can't remember the code of - you gotta use the n0rmal reply page then

I use it, if it is there, and almost always have to go to the normal reply page when I do. So, if it is there, I can't resist using it, and it always costs me more time.

It does have a reply button, but it does not have an empty field to type in at the bottom of each page. Some forums do have that. You will see no smilies then, and you can't do things like bold and such, unless you type in the code.

If you go into your profile, under "Look and Layout Preferences", there is a drop-down menu near the bottom of the page that controls the appearance of the quick reply box.

Yes, it is available in Black Rain.  I switched to Black Rain to test it out for you and I'm using it right now.

You would have to enter the code manually for smileys. though.

Didn't know it was an option. Must have set it in the beginning and forgoten.

I use Black Rain and have always used the Quick Reply box. I use the normal reply page, though, when I am updating photo threads because I am too lazy to type image codes.

Wow, I did not know that. I won't activate it, but in case I manage to do that by accident, I now know I can undo it. Great!
