It's like being treated as a criminal or child.  It also can be easily abused

Your government is stalking its own citizens, who have grown to be such sheep most of them don't even care that they have lost most of their freedom.

Would you like to have cameras installed in your home? After all, you might be at risk.

That's my point - they're NOT installed in your home. Everything you do in public is in public. I don't get what the problem is. Also if I'm mugged or beaten up, there's a much higher chance the person who did it will be caught

But since it's not too unlikely that someone might break into your home while you are away, wouldn't a camera help solve that crime?

Sure, some people do install their own private security cameras  :dunno:

The ability to be free.

How do CCTV cameras stop you being free? You can still do anything you want, as long as it's legal

How's it not freedom? If you're in public then you have to accept that people can watch you
