The big question I always have is why. Why can't even getting aid and help from around the world can't it ever seem to get even a little better

that was probably spent a decade ago, rice and fuel and jeeps and stuff.
ALL of that is THERE, on the chadian side of the border, theres the biggest refugee camps _in the world_
thats what we're donating for.
if we want to totally fix sudan, i guess we'd have to raise more like 100 trillion or something. idunno what it costs to completely re-vamp an entire country's infrastructure, and social structure etc.
"aid" is just a concience release for the wealthy west. it really does nothing. we can all see that. we raise 10 million for africa, which is jack shit, look at africa, and see its just as crappy as always.
if we really wanna help, we will erase their debts.
not force Niger to pay US THEIR money

its all just a scam, and it ultimately comes down to cheap raw materials and chemicals.
if african countries were wealthy, and well functioning, our computers and tv sets would cost 10 times as much.
