Nothing new here. Astrology is bullshit, just like religion.

Well there is a theory that christians based God on Zeus due to Zeus being "almighty" they wanted that kind of guy to be a "figurehead" for their religion.

That theory is a bit :tinfoil:::)

As I said it's a theory not saying I believe it 100% but I do see some possible truth in it , given the way both deities are represented physically.

I would say it's a case of independent co-evolution. Mythology tends to be based on the same themes, regardless of the culture that invents it.

The Judeo-Christian-Islamic god was more likely influenced by the Zoroastrian god Ahura Mazda, the first monotheistic religion.
you left out Sumerian writings, which were written down much earlier. I myself prefer their 'legends' and am more willing to accept their teachings as closer to the 'truth'.

Well, yes, it goes without saying that Sumerian writings made it into the bible too. The stories of the Garden of Eden and Noah's Ark come from Sumerian mythology. However, the Zoroastrian and especially the Canaanite influences were more recent, and therefore stronger.

Most of the book of Psalms is a verbatim plagiarism of the Canaanite Ugarit texts.

I'm still a Sagittarius. If I'd been born 2 days earlier I'd be right on the cusp of Sagittarius and Ophicleide.

(Yes, I know it isn't spelled like that.)

According to this, I've gone from cancer to gemini like eris.
And eris is correct in that light takes a finite time to travel from one point to another, add to that the fact that galaxies outside our local cluster are also moving away from each other due to cosmic expansion we are indeed basing the astrological formations upon data current many thousands of years in the past.
Beyond the pale. Way, way beyond the pale.

Astrology = bullshit
Astronomy = science

To help remember, consider how counter-intuitive it sounds. -logy sounds logical - so this is the illogical bullshit one. "-nomy" sounds like a leftover name, for a science that would rather be known as -logy, so, -nomy it is!

You should have taken that advice.
