Y'mean contemporary dance? No. But funny you mention it as posters for lessons for that are up in the hall we dance in :orly:

Which brings me to another hint: it's preferentially done on a hardwood floor.

 Tap is as close as I'm likely to get.  I don't know much about the dance.  I'd guess ballet but there are often partners in ballet so   :dunno:
