Sometimes I can't move for a minute or two after waking up, but it's not a scary experience; just inconvenient.

I have that now and then just before falling really asleep. And I kind of like it. I know I will be sleeping fully very quickly after that happens.

I like the sensation of falling that I sometimes get when I'm going to sleep.  It doesn't always mean that I'm about to reach a state of sleep though; I often get to the brink of sleep, loiter there a while and begin meandering back towards a wakeful state without having crossed the threshold into sleep.

I hate that sensation of falling.

As a kid I did not dare going to sleep, except when I held myself tightly to the bar at the side of my bed. So scared of that falling sensation. I would tense up so strongly, while holding that bar, that I could not fall asleep because of that.

i got the falling-shock a lot whe i was little

Me too, and it combined very well with my fear of heights. Horrible.

I find it pleasant and relaxing.

I like the falling sensation too, though it usually wakes me up for a moment.   :chin:

I have had sleep paralysis lots of times, only as I am waking up, though.
The room would look distorted and it would feel like someone evil was in the room coming towards me. I would have to move to get rid of the feeling but that was the hard part.

I haven't had sleep paralysis in months and think it might be because of the meds I took/am taking.

Room distorted, I had that as a kid when having really high fevers, and since then, I can shape every room into distortion at will.
I loved it then. My mum would know when my fevers were getting to the height of delirious fevers because of me getting so funny and happy. I loved delirious fevers somehow.

I don't get fears of paralysis, but that's not a big fear for me. I have dreams that involve nasty insects, or being trapped in a plane that's crashing.

Strangely, I have dreams of owning a property, and it falling down around me  I think we have nightmares about things that scare us.

My nightmares and my great dreams are very closely related. Water, lots of water, and being able to move in it the way I love is great, then it turning around, and me getting caught and drowning or suffocating is awful.  There are great architectural dreams too, full of active exploring, they can end in getting completely lost and stuck.

Dreams packed with socialising, I hate those, I wake so exhausted after dreams like that.

I know what you mean.  Walls would look closer or farther away than they really were,
partly because of fever, but probably more because I didn't wear my glasses in bed and
without them I don't have great depth perception.  :apondering:

For me it was not about my eyes. I did not get glasses till my eyes grew too old to read without them.

Had a distorted view this morning, because of a migraine. Those distortions are not funny and come with an aching head and nausea.

I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

I have the hypnic jerk occasionally, never the exploding head.  How often does that happen?  :(

In tandem with Insomnia and stress (which often follows). The three things feed each other.
Have not had it for a couple of years, thankfully.

I remember having at least one instance of my bedroom wall confusing me because I couldn't
tell how close it was to me.  I was sick at the time, but more likely I was just noticing the poor
depth perception I have without my glasses, especially when looking at a blank space.  :tinfoil:
