the other day, i sat up at night, as usual, got up and off to the bathroom, as often, and kitty fanatically ran out my room-door, into the livingroom, to bask around, as usual

on my way back from the bathroom, i was gonna give her a quick pet, but she jumped away, tail up, running off to hide - as not so often
totally in a catch-me mood, this awwed me out enough, so i ran after her a little, tickle tickle, all that, but im boring, so i got up and took a step to get back to my room again

she hurried off and escaped again
i just cant let her run off like that, and not chase. thats like playing hide and seek w a kid, and just ditch the kid hiding somewhere.
so i chase her again, untill she sortof dissapears
gone
and then i become really curious, where the hell DID she hide?
i look high and low, untill i finally find her crammed together, all laxin' under a slim shelf

i think at least shes done playing. i give her a quick pet, take a step, and wham shes all over my foot killing it w teeth and claws
and zoom, shes off fleeing again

My female "Sweetie" runs and hides upstairs, 3 minutes later you'll hear her mournful yowl...come find me, I'm stuck, I'm hurt, cry (all lies of course  ).

Go to check and you find yourself assulted by a 10 lb flying furball. Of course my male "George" always falls for it when I don't get up to check on her right away, and he is promptly knocked down and bitch slapped, then he comes running to "mom" to tattle on her ass.  Kids.

my kitty did sometimes face a "come here, something strange/bug" call right outside my door actually, very few times, and she runs off "TEE HEE!" when i arrive

her cleverest trickery is whenever im too lazy to open the door, and let her run around the house
she will go to the window, and call to be let out
i can thave her pee inside, so i get up to open the window
and she ruuuns to the door

I sort of play peek-a-boo with one of my mum's cats. Whenever I do, the cat meows at me.

Years ago, when I lived at my former landlady's house with ALL THOSE PETS, I was distraught and crying about something,
and her sleek little black-and-white cat, usually jittery and shy, came right over to me and sat in my lap. He understood.

renaeden; i used to do that w my kitty when she was a kitten. it was like a risk-sport, we'd pekaboo around a corner = kitty-charge-right-in-the-face
