I bought a Mad Catz MC2 Xbox 360 Racing Wheel, it is a steering wheel w/ pedals controller, and I'm trying to play Race Pro with it, and wow... This is hard! It was a lot of fun, just driving the car around the track with this thing, steering, shifting (it has a shift knob on the right), and hitting either the gas or brake pedals. But man, you have to forget everything you knew about driving with the regular controller. After several laps of trying to keep the car in control, trying to get a fast lap, using the MC2 wheel, I gave up and ran a couple of laps with the regular controller. With the wheel, I felt like I wasn't in control, my body has to actually MOVE in order to control the car, whereas with the regular controller, all I had to do was to sit on my fat ass and twiddle my fingers. Whew! I think I need to step up my exercise a little bit!
I haven't really driven IRL, so that may be part of the problem. If I could just get the hang of this MC2 steering wheel controller, then Race Pro would be a lot more fun than it already is. At least there's no force feedback to make things tougher for me.
So, how should I handle the pedals? Heel-and-toe, left foot on the brake and right foot on the gas, or right foot alternating between the gas and brakes?
