Hopefully if he does well on his probation, he will work casual over this 2 month break. I am SO happy!!!!! he will be occupied and responsible and work hard. Awesome!!!!!!!

I messed up my first job by ruining someone's engine be accident. The joys of petrol stations. :zoinks:

Thanks everyone!!!!

Yeah, it is at a car wash down the road from our new house. My boy loves cars and he will be working on Audis and Mercs and Austin Martins(sp), not to mention Subarus and all sorts of other automobiles. They also do car detailing(cleaning the inside and polishing). He will be in heaven!!

I think this will help him grow up a bit and take some responsibility. Like Parts said, learn the value of things.

He is just now finishing exams and next year he will be doing Maths(accelerated) Physics, Chemistry, English, IT and Manufacturing. Hopefully his report card is good this term. It will boost his confidence. Despite the fact that he does well in most of his subjects and is in the excellence class for mathematics, his self-esteem is low. He has had a very difficult life so I have been trying to help him get past it. Trying to help him build resilience and experience joy. This job that he got is not just a job, but a rite of passage, and I am so proud of him. He will be nervous and stuff, but I bet he will pull through.

Now I am all teary (emo) Good things happen so rarely, so when they do, it is time for celebration.

He is MUCH too young for that. It makes me feel a bit funny to even think of it! After my one and only comprehensive talk on contraception in the condom aisle at our local chemist, where I explained lubricants, different types of condoms and so on, I have not brought it up again.
