Mooney Aircraft Company hits hard times.

Several Mooney employees received bad news just before the holidays. They've had to lay off most of their workforce just to keep the company afloat. The M20TN Acclain Type S, the fastest production single piston engined airplane, is now out of production along with the entire Mooney assembly line.  :'(  Let's hope that better economic times alow them to resume production soon!!!  :thumbup:

I wish all corporations would collapse. We could then see which rich ass motherfuckers weren't used to not having a constant influx of cash, kill them, and restart society the right way.

I'd hardly call Mooney Airplane Company "rich ass motherfuckers". They've always struggled to keep their doors open.

In aircraft it seems unless your building for the military it's tough.  Even then Sikorsky Aircraft, maker of the Blackhawk helicopter,  is  one town over from me and they too are laying people off  also

Mooney made a canopy equiped version of their M20T as a trainer for the Air Force, but it narrowly lost to another plane that had engine fire issues.  :-\   Anyways, here it is, the M20T Predator
