Ive always had rats

One of them bites. Draws blood, too. I think she likes the taste. The other one is really nice and sweet, though. We let her out and she runs back and forth on the couch

I do like rats but after that experience (I had to get a tetanus shot) have never gotten another one.

I have a possum in the roof space and it over the last two nights was causing merry hell. I have not heard it tonight which means two things. Either it has found out how it got in and escaped or.....its dead.....

Back in the day circa 1993 when I rented a room in a big old house on the East side of downtown Indy, I was in my room (which was in the attic) with the windows open enjoying a spring night tripping on Robitussin. (1st and only time).

I noticed something out of the corner of my eye in the other side of the room by the window and then saw it go under my dresser.

Went over there to find a opossum under my dresser. So I got a yard stick and poked at it with the stick…..no affect. Poked harder……it just sat there staring at me while snot was dripping from its nose into my floor. Kept at this and it started hissing at me.

Finally decided to move the dresser and then went after it with the stick. Finally, it scurried back out the window.


Later that year I moved to a room in the basement and got a squirrel that a cat chased in there through an open window……I’ll take the opossum over a super hyper scared shitless squirrel.

There is no animal control in my county so I had to call the department of wildlife, and it was 150$ It took them like less than 10 minutes, my basement isnt very big. They used this hook thing and put it in a cage

If he never returns your message, you *could* just write your next rent check for $150 less than usual! 

Yes this is something that he should pay for.  Also Look around the perimeter of the house for the entrance it used to get in.  They can fit through smaller holes than you would think and it's best to block it off even if it's just temporarily till the landlord takes care of it

$150 is expensive! I hope you get the money from your landlord, doesn't sound promising from what you have said about him though.
