something as elemental as re-installing drivers fixed it...wtf.. at least it works.i still dont get the logic of all this, and it bothers me, why would it work one day and not the next, re-install driver, and then it works??

I've nothing to add. I just hope you manage to fix your problem. It's heartbreaking to be desperate to get a game and then it not run.
