I think some people have already tried this.

We could remove his ability to start new threads for some period of time but leave his ability to post in threads that have already been started.

I just checked his statistics.  He has 615 posts and started 122 threads.  He almost seems like he has to compartmentalize each thought into a new thread.

That;s what it seems like to me too. Which I can kinda relate too myself. You gotta have some self control tho

Maybe we could set a limit for him like no more than *five* new topics each day, for example.

Maybe we could enforce it by taking away his ability to start new topics at all for a week if he forgets and we could sinbin or delete all those threads for that day.

*I don't know if the actual number should be five or something else, though.

What about combining all the spammy threads into one, as a "punishment" for if he does post too many?

I think I could do that on zomg, although it might be a pain in the arse for admins if it's more complicated than deleting

Doing it once or twice though might encourage him if he finally realises starting all these new threads wont achieve what he wants
