Funny thing is, we tend to call crisps chips, but they are referred to as 'potato chips'.

Battered potato slices are either 'potato cakes' or 'potato scallops', depending on which state you're in.

I meant the potatos- like chips (fries) but round rather than chip-shaped

I used to have them with beans or spaghetti shapes lol

That's probably where we got the idea from, given that most Aussie stuff from early on was originally British.
