Funny thing is, we tend to call crisps chips, but they are referred to as 'potato chips'.

Battered potato slices are either 'potato cakes' or 'potato scallops', depending on which state you're in.

Cool, different words to use in different moods or various grades of intoxication.  :laugh:  :asthing:

That's probably where we got the idea from, given that most Aussie stuff from early on was originally British.
