i never really get used to civilians suffering in war footage and stuff
be it old people, men or women, kids or toddlers, i dont even want to allow myself to get used to it.
some moments ago i saw footage of refugees fleeing, i noticed what would be a maybe 3 year old, running on his own, alongside what i hope to be relatives. but not carried. he ran on his own legs. its just wrong that someone that young should be exposed to such a real danger. a 3 year old mind realizing the need to flee, and run... they shouldnt know about it...
i get all heartbroken at it

and not just kids, altho theres something "extra" w kids, but also when i see some chubby palestinian grannie crying her eyes out, screaming to god... or grown men crying freely, all because of the stubbornness of their leaders.

this image i always found very powerfull
its from gaza, during this summers bombing
basket-ball court, civilian balcony, a red-cross guy, people running. illegal munition, these bright light pieces burn into your flesh, and wont stop burning.
that back yard could be anywhere in the world.

war fascinates me a lot, but also makes me sad
