Am preparing an article re same but decided to go ahead and start to see if there's any Hicks fans out there (or non-fans who wish to contest my assertion).

i aggree w nearly everything he rants, but
i think hes sortof.. "made for americans"
not strictly and entirely, but it seems very tailormade for a predominantly religious society

sometimes he gets a bit too preachy

my favorite bits of his are the "situational" bits, about family life, his dad, growing up, etc
but those are sortof "drowned" by his political stuff.
