Yep our right on that he is treated the same as a cult leader but that's much the same as many famous people his problem is more what he does with it.  Still meh  I do like science though I don't worship it I did spend years studying it in college which was enough to have that worshiping science thing thrown at me on occasion especially since I was a biology student

I don't like him much either, as he represents the self-important atheist types, or "religious athiests" as I call them. The type that treats scientists like priests that spread the gospel. The problem with that is that science itself NEVER claims to be the ultimate proof, only an attempt to find out and understand.

While I agree with much with what athiests say, I do find there are unanswered questions related to the universe, what happens when we die and so on. I don't think we will ever find out those answers, no matter how advanced science becomes. I also think the concept of "god" and religion in general is bullshit, but I do believe there may be some "force" that provides the procedural codes for the universe to expand and grow, ie. like an equation for a computer generated fractal.

yeah, theyre just labels anyway. his way of preaching is emotionally grounded, and it fits the religious culty mindset.

How geometry works in the universe is a good example of chaos/order. A sphere for example: the order will give the impression of a sphere, while the chaos dictates the sphere is not "perfect", meaning it may have a bulge around the centre, holes/pits etc.

i try to separate humans subjectiveness from the universe, but its next to impossible, being human, w a brain.

its almost a curse i think. we can only understand as far as our brains allow us.
we can only understand earthly concepts, and try to implement them onto outer-space.

like when people think about "before" space or "outside" space.
"before" and "outside" are purely earthly concepts.
"before" we arrived at the camp, or before we heard some noise.
