Can you imagine life in the summer in old-time clothes?  Yikes. 

I have a sneaking suspicion that the folks on the farm didn't necessarily wear all their clothes all the time while doing chores.

No, Richard.  I meant that men sometimes worked without shirts, women without their petticoats or with their skirts pulled up to their knees.  I'm afraid the nutrition and medicine of yester year didn't mean a lot of lovely bodies.

Hard boiled eggs are more appropriately called hard cooked eggs.  They should not be boiled, but simmered instead.
