Ive developed a weird craving for Tesco Crispy Fries. Idont usually eat too many crisps,but Ilove them. Cheese & Onion are best, and plain are good. Not so keen on the Salt & Vinigar though.

Every time I go over and see Emma, I get myself a parmo. Basically parmesan cheese on top of breaded chicken. Can get all sorts of variations (chilli parmos etc.) but I like it plain.

Looks like puke and considered chav food, but it's considered luxury to me. If they sold them in Ireland i'd be 22 stone by now. So gorgeous. :autism:
Actually it's white béchamel sauce and cheese that it's covered in. :M

I actually have to confess i quite like it!
but it's nothing without brown sauce!

I know that in a sweet version, Wentelteefjes. Bread dipped in egg with some milk and cinnamon. Then fried and served with castor sugar.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

I've been wanting to make what I would have called "Savory French Bread" to go with dinner sometime.  I figured some cuisine or another had already created it.  Nice to know it's called eggy bread.  I can just taste it with some garlic, onion, parsley, under a hamburger patty.  I'll invite everyone over when I make it.

 I think I could make it, though I haven't yet.  Eggs, milk, cinnamon, dip bread, fry, add butter and maple syrup!   :drool:

Its really easy to make. I just empty 2 eggs into a bowl,heat up the frying pan, soak 2 slices of bread in the eggs, fry in the frying pan with some oil. Once one side of the bread is nice and crispy, flip it over and crisp up the other side. Add sslt and pepper.

Never tried it with milk, maple syrup, and cinnamon.

 When we make the batter at the retirement home, we whip the eggs smooth and add milk and cinnamon
 to make a rich liquid for dipping.  Butter and syrup make lovely toppings!  :drool:

 The 100% real maple syrup is a must!  I used to use maple-flavored stuff but the real thing is worth the money!  :thumbup:

I have never put cinnoman in.  Yes milk.  Its great for feeding us working class folks - especially if

You could be onto something there...

if you think about how it was smuggled between France
and Ireland...what have you got inbetween?  -  England
of course.  You don't think either the french or the irish
could have taken all that bread right under our noses..
...the plot gets thicker though...think who are the royal
family in England -  bloody Germans!
