I   Elder Scrolls and Fallout 3. I'd pretty much stopped playing computer games when I was around 14, untill I played Elder Scrolls. It's probably my favourite ever game. I really   Mass Effect 3 as well. I can't wait untill Fallout: New Vegas is released, I think on the 22 October. I'll be impatiently checking Pirate Bay every day untill I get it.

I really should play Fallout 3 again. It's been months ever since I have roamed the Wastelands, laying waste to Raiders with my arsenal of guns, snacking on some "roach meat", and listening to the Enclave Radio Channel. Good times, good times!

Oh, and Butterflies, I have got a question for you: Did you blow up Megaton? I did. That was the most awesome thing I have ever saw on my computer screen!

No, I couldn't bring myself to do that, too many people would have died . I disarmed the bomb and left Megaton in peace . I might start another game when I fully complete this game, and be a really evil character and blow up Megaton and go on a murderous rampage in Little Lamplight . I'm just not sure if I could ever go through with it though

i constantly replay both fallout 3 and 2

currently, im re-doing fo3 at a higher difficulty, and the ghoul reavers are KILLING me

pff, i use the console, and get myself the tenpenny suite key anyway. big whopp
cant customize the apartment tho, but who cares.

and as for character types, in oblivion, yes they differ, check the various stats.
orc is typical warrior player, blunt weapons, lots of damage in and out.
i usually go for imperial, cus its more "human" obviously, more balanced in my opinion. crap at magic, but heroic w weapons. ill usually rely on a sword and a bow wherever i go.

You gain XP from killing enemies, picking locks, finding Nirnroot, completing quests and so on.

Once you have enough XP, you level up and get some points to distribute.

nirnroots gain you anything other than quest progress?
i had no idea.

btw for oblivion XP isnt really a good term, cus its not really XP in that sense (in what i see as a fallout sense )
killing enemies will gain you specific xp to the actual weapon you use. killing shitloads w your sword, makes you a sword-lord
while in a game like fallout, you just have to kill a lot in general, get xp, and use this xp to enhance any skill.

a thing i often do in oblinion, is to always eat any ingredient i find, toxic or not. it boosts my alchemy skill like hell.

jumping, sneaking and alchemy are skills that tend to shoot up without hardly any effort at all.

too small scoped in my opinion.
such a game should expand on the whole sand-box-ness. i collected all completable tasks in notime...
the atmosphere is addictive tho, and thats my main reason for replaying it.
i love the ambience

as soon as its not utterly hysterical, we will lower difficulty, or use cheats.

I agree. I'd probably have given up by now if it wss too hard. I'm not exactly the type of person that you could call dedicated. If something is too dificult I give up and move on to something else.

i try to restrict its use to when its truly needed, such as getting lodged stuck between a wall and a chair (yeah, that totally kills people irl... )
but i have used it for short-cuts, especially on oblivions dungeons, on my way back out, when i know all enemies are dead, and theres only long boring dungeon-walk.
ill just tcl my way right to the exis.

in morrowind i used the "coc" changing locations, as my own "fast travel", also did some self-discipline on how much to abuse it. but it was nifty now and then.

i do enjoy items being hidden. it adds some mystique and i like to quest for them. i never hurried too much w powerfull items.
in FO3 ill usually stick w the assault rifle throughout most of the game, untill after finishing anchorage, where i cheat myself a "simulation rifle" (they never degrade)

i could get the rifle earlyer, but like i said, i like some sort of continuity to it
once i get my "simulator chinese assault rifle" i dont need anything else. it kicks ass.

I'm using the destabilizer at the moment in Fallout. It does lots of damage, 165 at the moment . I'm not sure where I found it. It might have been on the spaceship.

I've just completed the main quest and started on Broken Steel, although I've not played it for a good few days. I've been playing Civilization V since it came out. I was one of the people stuck in the first torrent that someone was uploading at about 3% an hour.
