Well, I'll be damned. I got Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Game of the Year Edition) and it might become addictive for me. The in-game world is quite fabulous.

Get FCOM and XP Levelling.

I have only played the game for like two hours, I don't know what you are talking about. And I can't get mods for this game because I am playing the Xbox 360 version.

Buying a Bethesda game on a console is almost as bad as buying a Valve game on a console.

FYI, I am renting it from Gamefly. I did not BUY the game per se. I have Fallout 3 for the PC. If I like Oblivion, I might get it for the PC as well. But I just wanted something to play on my Xbox 360 for the time being.

And what the Hell does that picture have to do with anything?

And as far as Valve goes, at least I wouldn't have to deal with that Steam bullshit if I played their games on my Xbox 360. :facepalm2:

That picture is more or less my face when I read "Xbox".

Renting it, that's ok then. But be aware that the game is far better on the PC - FCOM adds about 1-200 new enemies, XP Levelling makes levelling up more like, say, Baldur's Gate (Each action earns XP, harder actions earn more XP - when you level up you get a certain amount of points to distribute between your skills).

What's wrong with STEAM?

I've never had any problems with it - can play offline, can play at friends houses, can play at grandparents house, can play at the library or at college....

Sales are insane, updates are free - what's not to like?

So I don't gain XP by killing enemies?

You gain XP from killing enemies, picking locks, finding Nirnroot, completing quests and so on.

Once you have enough XP, you level up and get some points to distribute.

nirnroots gain you anything other than quest progress?
i had no idea.

btw for oblivion XP isnt really a good term, cus its not really XP in that sense (in what i see as a fallout sense :D)
killing enemies will gain you specific xp to the actual weapon you use. killing shitloads w your sword, makes you a sword-lord
while in a game like fallout, you just have to kill a lot in general, get xp, and use this xp to enhance any skill.

a thing i often do in oblinion, is to always eat any ingredient i find, toxic or not. it boosts my alchemy skill like hell.

jumping, sneaking and alchemy are skills that tend to shoot up without hardly any effort at all.

I would like for my character to be able to dish out a lot of damage and take it as well. Are the races any different from each other? Because I have started as an Orc Warrior.

I   :pinkbeat:  Elder Scrolls and Fallout 3. I'd pretty much stopped playing computer games when I was around 14, untill I played Elder Scrolls. It's probably my favourite ever game. I really  :pinkbeat: Mass Effect 3 as well. I can't wait untill Fallout: New Vegas is released, I think on the 22 October. I'll be impatiently checking Pirate Bay every day untill I get it.

I really should play Fallout 3 again. It's been months ever since I have roamed the Wastelands, laying waste to Raiders with my arsenal of guns, snacking on some "roach meat", and listening to the Enclave Radio Channel. Good times, good times!

Oh, and Butterflies, I have got a question for you: Did you blow up Megaton? I did. :evillaugh: That was the most awesome thing I have ever saw on my computer screen!
