if there is one thing in the universe, that most of all pushes my atheistic mind towards a religious mindset, its microsoft and computers.

it seems so deliberate.
sometimes its so well timed too.
sometimes a computer error will coordinate even with something completely unrelated, like my cat about to tilt something over, or people calling,
it just knows

You need you some PeerBlock and add the Spyware and Adware lists to your filterset. Perhaps block them on HTTP as well.

it wasnt an actual popup, thats what i considered "ironic"

it was a "legitimate" sponsor of ms msn, but that "popped up", as in, grew out of its frame on mouse-over.

"legally" its probably all a-okay, its technically not a popup, but behaves exactly like one, while being endorsed by microsoft  8)

There's plenty of tools out there to stop MSN ads.

Have you tried downloading a-patch for msn? You can block these annoying pesky ads that way.

How about trying aMSN? It's an open-source alternative to MSN which works pretty much the same way and has no ads.

Paper and pencil.  Crossword and other puzzles.  Physical books.  Radio.  There are lots of less frustrating options to the computer.  Liberate yourself from the tyranny of the computer.
