I'm sorry Parts, I won't be voting for you, unless we can make it a tandemjob, so both of us will have lots of alone time too, for more than praying.

It's been my vocation since I was 11 to become the first official female pope. Even more, because the Dutch word for a female pope would be "Pause", and I think the world could do with a break indeed. I've already bought myself a nice new dress, the hat needs some adjustments, to match it. I hope the white smoke will be there for me.

I will make my own campaigning thread.
You are the coolest Dutch bovine that I know but I cannot support you because Parts has bought my vo established that he is the man for the job. I prayed and received a vision that it must be Parts.  :viking:

Just the other way around here. They are coming to get our (tele-)vision.

If the pope was a female do you think there would be a problem (still) with the priests diddling the young boys?
Misunderstood.

Some, mostly fixing other peoples fuck ups that caused frozen pipes or insulating areas they wanted to keep heated like offices or bathrooms

That's actually what I'm interested in.

I'm zeroing in on a couple of acres to buy and the first thing I'd like to put up is a shop building. After a conversation with a buddy of mine who is a general contractor, I've decided it would be best to put a full apartment inside it as opposed to a minimalist living quarters because this would make the building more valuable if I decided to sell it. Also, If I decide against building a separate house, I still have a comfortable place to live.

Right now, my plan is to build a 32x40x16 polebarn building. 32x32 will be shop space with a 12x32 2 story apartment.

I want full insulation in the apartment and just enough in the shop area so it's not too cold or too hot to work in year round.

Initially, water will come from a cistern because drilling a well will be about $30k.

There are a lot of ways to do it the most popular right now is foam but there are issues, like if the foam guy screws up, and that happens more than you think,  it can be really bad, its kinda expensive and then there are fire issues .   Some companies that sell the buildings have insulation packages that use fiberglass metal building insulation which does the shell which would be good enough for the work areas then you could insulate the apartment like it was a stand alone house.

My cousin did something similar. But instead of pole barn he used salvage drill pipe to do a similar style of construction. His dad buys that stuff for the salvage weight of the iron.
He went a little bigger though and his entire apartment was a second story. I think those pipes were twenty four feet long, which can make a modest two story edifice.
He lived there for fifteen years while he (went to school, got married, raised a snotty teen) and the others in the family helped him to build his home.
He now rents the upper floor to two of his workers.
