Turpentine, I sometimes love, sometimes dislike. The smell of linseed oil, I really love. Walnut oil smells good too.

Oiling my tables is a good plan for next week. Front table, oak, with linseed oil. Dining table, teak, with walnut oil. Rub it in, let it set, and then go for the polishing frenzy. Not something to do every week, but, doing it now and then is a real treat.

I notice whilst I'm getting a tadski older I can't handle the cold as well as I did when I was younger. (:yay: 5x 'I' in one sentence)

Oh, that goes for warm weather (>25°C) also.. but I've never liked that.

The smell of hypochlorites knocks me sick to the stomach. Yet I actually quite like the smell of burning sulfur.

And the smell of chloroform, or dichloromethane....ewwwww.....theres just something about that sickly-sweet chlorinated hydrocarbon smell that is completely nauseating.

I haven't had a beer in.. dunno 3/4 years now. :yay: But but.. still like to boil 'me' (blue) mussels in a rich Belgium beer.. for it give them a nice creamy taste.

Me too, reminds me of childhood when they did a lot of road work near my house.  The smell of people putting on a hot tar roof is pretty close and another of my favorites

  Years ago  (summer of 1980)  I had a paperback copy of  The Shining  that smelled
   like fresh asphalt.  I loved sniffing the pages all summer till the scent faded.  :green:
