I get callouses on the backs of my knuckles from work and also ones on my palm that line up with how I hold a hammer

That's one of the reasons I was puzzled, I did not use a pen enough to get callouses, and certainly not a spot that thick.

So, still puzzled. Most of the callouses is gone now.

I do have callouses on the inside of my hands. And, that comes mainly from working in the garden indeed. It was just that tiny, thick spot that made me wonder.
