I loathe these spellings in Swedish: bensin, oxi-, blont, vit. The correct spellings should be benzin, oxy-, blondt, hvit.

Since the mixture of hydrocarbons used to run cars on is named after Carl Benz, the only proper form is benzin, just like it is in German, Dutch and Danish.

Oxy- is Greek, so it should rightfully be an y. Y is also a wovel in words that are 100% Swedish and has a different phonetic quality than the i, so there is no point in avoiding it just to simplify things for the semi-illiterate.

Blond is the root form, and the Danes still spell it blondt in the neutral form. The Danes also spell hvid and it is also obviously related to English white. The current false spelling forms are a result of the spelling "reform" in 1906.

They even spell it with the h before the w, which is actually the really old Nordic spelling. V should of course be spelled with a w when it corresponds to the phoneme that w still represents in English.

I have always been like this also,  naps during the day are always so restful it seems like they count as double the time
