I started college at the age of 2.  My Dad was taking German as his foreign language.  It was only offered at the female college.  Mom wasn't happy that he would be taking it with coeds.  So, since she was pregnant with my sister, she would pretend to be sick sometimes when he had German classes so he would have to take me.  She wanted to make sure the female students knew he was married with child(ren.)

Can you speak German at all, have any level of conversation in it?   :orly:

My right eye is set a millimeter or so higher in my face than my left eye, and at a slightly different angle.  :insane:

Wasn't there a cigarette that advertised it was a silly little millimete longer?

That's vaguely familiar to me now that you mention it.  I wonder how many extra puffs you get from that!   :orly:

Benson and Hedges:  (This company introduced a "100 millimeter" long cigarette. Shortly after, Chesterfield cigarettes company did a parody of the B&H ad campaign and introduced a cigarette called "Chesterfield 101's" with the catchphrase "a silly millimeter longer." Many confuse the two campaigns and wrongly attribute the "silly millimeter" phase to the Benson and Hedges campaign.)  From TVAcres website.

Just some common curse words.  And because so many of the words are similar to English I can figure out some of them.

I tend to make fairly simple things quite complicated at times. I kinda use Ockham's (or Boerhaave's) adage 'simplex sigillum veri' to remind me to keep it simple.

Kinda stupid but I have wished I had a more simple mind before. Sometimes my compulsive brain 'whines' too much and seeing some other simple-minds having fun over nothing.. appearing totally careless.. I..

Well, ignorance sometimes IS bliss, I think.   :tard:

We use a lot of the heavy bar style beer glasses at the house mostly because they are hard to break

:thumbdn: I detest clocks that tick. I remember the old Baby Ben alarm clocks.
