That looks like a red back spider not a black widow spider. I could be wrong though.

For useless personal trivia: it is easier to use the cross-trainer for longer when I have music playing. Otherwise I get bored really quickly.

Ewww, I just Googled, I didn't realize our black widow spider had an Australian lookalike!  :zombiefuck:

The difference between the red back and the black widow is that the red back has red on top of its abdomen, whereas the black widow is red on bottom.

They could be the same genus though, they look very similar.
Ah, my mistake. I never knew the black widow female had red on its body.

My sister got bitten by a redback when we were little and she had to go straight to the doctor and have injections. I don't remember much about it.

As for my hearing, I know it's not great (too many years of listening to loud music on  :headphones: ),
but I don't know whether I can hear a trapdoor spider's legs because I've never encountered one in person.

Deary, I have a few years of rock and roll under my belt as well.

I have doubts that you can know who I am, but, aside from all that may imply, I have tinnitus in both ears. My ears totally suck.

I think I qualify for a "Handicapped parking spot," actually, since my ears are so far from what they were when I was your age.  I am basically deaf, these days.

Every song I have ever heard, and been a part of, rings in my ears all at the same time.  My ears are quite suspect in this time of my life.

I can still hear spiders and wasps, though.

... and cricket songs are a mainstay of my outdoor life in the summer.

Sorry, but compared to where I was in my thirties, I am now a deaf old man and I can not hear shit in a storm.

My remote is missing a couple of buttons and is generally balky and slow.  :violin:

Our outdoor cat ate a squirrel about a month ago and frequently brings us mice and birds lovingly left on the steps for us :flo:

Awww, my former landlady's cat once dropped a dead shrew into her cereal bowl! He was so proud to present it to her!

I was born with a missing knuckle on one hand, if you feel it there's just a weird hole. Probably not really useless personal trivia and might have something to do with the other shit with my skeleton and help the docs know what the fuck is wrong but oh well. :zoinks:

So do you have a diagnostic label for your skeletal issues, or are the docs still working on that?   :orly:

For my knees there's a few names kicking around such as patella alta (abnormally high kneecaps) but the rest it's just too much work... We're just sticking to spastic :zoinks:
