I'm in the process of learning to cook healthier.  It's not going as quickly as I would like.  Both Prince Albert and the Princess Royal need to eat healthier also.  Anyways I'm doing simpler cooking, hoping to learn to use a crockpot.  We're eating more salads.  My ideal rotation for eating/cooking is:

Sandwich, soup, salad or combination for lunch
Monday and Thursday Dinner - Beans
Tuesday and Friday Dinner - Fish
Wednesday and Saturday Dinner - Chicken
Sunday Dinner - Beef, Pork or cooks choice.

She'll be 14 soon. very big and fat lol

we had her and her sister from when they were only a few weeks old. Her sister died in 2007 though

here's my cat Flo and her sister:

One of my calico cats is very fat and the other is thin. The fat one doesn't eat the thin one's food. I wouldn't allow that. That very different. The fat one has short legs and a different body type and wants to eat all the time. I can't let her do that or she might kill herself. I have to keep the thin cat's food on the counter so she will have her fair share.

I know what you mean. I just make do and eat whatever looks good. Open a can of chili beans and there's dinner. I like Mexican food too. I try to keep tortilla chips, salsa and guacamole on hand to try and eat healthy.
