ball pointed hand sewing needles are tricky to find.  Buy a couple of packs when you find them (JoAnne's Fabrics)

If you have a Hancock's Fabrics, they usually have some ball point single needles, but a twin needle for knits is even harder to find.

I think there is a Hancock across the River.  Never heard of a twin needle.  I usually use mine for hand repairs for knit clothes.

For hand sewing, asking for ball pointed embroidery needles may be helpful. Lots of embroidery needles are ball pointed.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

I made a mistake in reading and thought you were talking about ball pointed sewing machine needles for knits.

Here's a picture of some twin needles and one triple needle, which I have never tried.

That would explain how some close double stitching is done.  Thanks.

You know how hems on knits are often double stitched on top, but on the back it looks like a zigzag stitch?  That's from using a double needle with a single bobbin.

That happened to me and I bought several nine volt betteries.  It has not happened since.

Dollar Tree is our battery solution.  8 packs of Sunbeam, Panasonic, RayOVac, etc AA or AAA batteries for $1.

That's really freaking weird; I went to dollar tree yesterday and basically had a cheapskategasm.
