I don't think he's stupid, just nervous and socially impaired. He has a degree from a university. I don't think that's possible for a person as unintelligent as he appears during interviews.
"He sways from foot-to-foot when you are talking with him. He wrings his hands. He repeats himself. He has key phrases he repeats over and over. He has trouble being too close to people."
He is not very articulate, she suggests.
Nobody seems to mention that out of all the redundant statements he makes in response to questions, particularly about his legal problems, none have been any less clear than what a "conventional" politician would say.
Reporter: "What do you have to say about the obscenity charges against you?"
Other politician: "well Sherry, I am 100% innocent and this is a unfortunate case of some person trying to tarnish my image so that I will not be able to rescue the great state of XY from the clutches of the tax and spend XY party in November."
Alvin Greene: "My lawyer is dealing with that."
