Just wanted to pop in and say hello and tell you that I'm back now. Anybody miss me?
Here's the coles notes on why I left, where I've been, and what's been happenin'
* The separation has been nasty and everything I feared most, and you all warned me about did indeed happen. Custody has been mediated and the ex didn't get his way of splitting up the kids. He wanted to give me my daughter 2 weekends a month and not let the children see each other more than that due to my son's autism. Saying he can have visiting rights with his sister when he basically proves him to be...well...less autistic. You can imagine how well that went down with me.
*The mediator was
amazing and politely called him all on all of his bullshit. Including the times he said that I haven't been part of my daughters life until a few months ago. Dude, I'm a stay at home Mum and you were working 60-120 hours a week. Who the hell do you think raised her? So he didn't get his way but we compromised. I fear he'll lose the son simply due to his own ignorance. My little guy will be 12 at the end of the year and he gets that his Dad just doesn't get him.
* All of that threw me under the bus and I just needed to disappear for awhile. My family doctor wants me to start going to a clinic that specializes in women who have been abused. His level of control and emotional/verbal abuse has skyrocketed.
*Unfortunately he's still in the house and won't leave until everything has been signed off on. So it looks like he'll move out in the fall or shortly after. We have to sort through financials next and then property division.In a few weeks it will have been a year since we started this whole process and he just.won't.go. For pete's sake, fuck off and get your own house already.
* In the good news department, things are still awesome with the boy
I went to see him in March and had an incredible time.
So that's about it! Oh, and I broke my toe yesterday. Dammit it hurts like a sonofabitch. :lol:
