Here's the link to a Family Guy episode based on a short story by Richard Matheson(!):

That show is so fucking stupid. I hate shit like that.

It's not even funny. They tell the same joke over and over and over. And it was never funny to begin with. Oooh farts and misogyny and stewie is gay . How controversial ::) Now if someone kills Seth McFarland, then I'll laugh.

When I was a bit younger, I loved Family Guy. Particularly the first few seasons. But as the show went on, it just seemed to get worse and worse. It really stopped being funny when it came to that episode where Stewie supposedly kills his mother or something (which was all a big joke).

If Family Guy ever does a parody of Mama's Family (which I hope it never does and the chances are pretty low), then I'm going to grind Seth MacFarlane's bones to make my bread.

It was funnier when Stewie's sexuality was ambigous. I agree that their humor has grown stale, but I loved it for the same reason I liked South Park, they were always willing to do things that were totaly wrong. These shows were both good for ruthlessly violating social taboos.

I remember when Three's Company  was considered a bit off-color.

That was what? early to mid seventies??

Yeah, they 3 singles sharing an apartment. Jack Ritter had to pretend to be gay just so the landlord would rent to them. Heaven forbid that there was any hanky-panky going on!!! :GA: :GA: :GA:

Yeah, mid-70s, I remember feeling shocked when I heard a classmate talking about the show.
I couldn't believe his parents let him watch it, mine would never have allowed it!  :GA:

When I was very young, it was "Married with Children" that was the big controversy. And, yeah, it is still probably one of the most vile, corrupted shows on tv :D I can remember being very very young, like 5 - 6, watching it with my parents :D
