When my son gets home from pre-school he takes off his shoes and his right sock.  He spends the rest of the day wearing only a left sock until bedtime at which point he needs two socks back on (after his bath).  I have no idea why and he doesn't seem interested in telling me.

My son hates socks so he keeps taking them off. I have to pay attention to his feet in public so he won't lose his shoes or socks. He lost a shoe once. I had it in stroller basket and then I noticed it was gone when I left. I tried back tracking and it was never found. Luckily I buy them used at the baby resale store and I go to Goodwill for it too. I have back tracked several times in stores and there is his other shoe. Before I had kids, I used to wonder how the heck do babies lose their socks and shoes and how could parents not know? Now I know.

Probably the same stuff.  She thinks the sun rises and falls on him.  When they are in the same room together she just stares at him for minutes at a time with a huge grin on her face, or laughing hysterically at everything he does.
