Well, it's ok. Combo fried mushrooms/bacon (onion?) is nice, imo.. but I probably like it better with minced meat (let's say alla Bolognese) but nice thing with a this basis pasta sauce (olive oil, garlic, onion and de-peel-ed pomodori tomatoes basically) one can 'throw' in all sorts of stuff.. like.. chairs, Swiss army knives, toothpaste..

Nah.. good quality ham or tuna is nice too. All sorts of combinations with vegetables are possible also.. broccoli, leek, etc.. The tricolore, (simply basil, parmasan and tomato) is what makes this type of Italian dish strong, I think.
Must say, cooking has become quite a hobby of mine the last two years or so. It's a really nice activity too, I say.. to prepare, cook and eat the dish you've made. Well..
Um, also believe in eating good food/good meals is really important. Underestimately important. (think Hippocrates' adage here)
