No, she just wanted it hauled away and given to a needy person, I think you'll be fine.

I think she would have gladly told you to take it for yourself if she had known you wanted it.

If you want to make it up to Goodwill, you could make a donation to them.

Yes. She might have even wanted to offer it to you, but didn't want to offend.

That's what I thought. Scrap, are you taking over my brain, this is the second time in two days.

Parts, you can use the old couch to stirr up hell fire too.

(and that lady will think it is fine I think, you did her a favour, she'll probably be happy someone she knows is enjoying her couch. And in case of doubt, donate something indeed, or tell her)

Went today to take a load in from my mom's for donation, we've been trying to do some spring cleaning.

Drive around back somedays and see what they toss and you'll feel less guilty.

A pretty nice looking couch and a beautiful looking old wardrobe sitting in back by the dumpsters getting soaking wet in the rain today. Our store is on the small side, I'm thinking these were ousted because of space constraints.

Checked out the showcase last month and looked over a couple of fake Louie V purses with $50 price tags. I tossed a fugly fake Prada I picked up at a sale into one of the donation bags last month after seeing that, paid a whole .25 for it (It WAS that ugly). Guess what's in the showcase this week? :zoinks:

I come from a long line of pickers like this.  My brother had a store next to a thrift shop in one of the richest towns in the country and made a good living on selling what they sold or tossed.  Once he found a multi volume set of books that were tossed with a mildewy smell.  It was a first edition of the works of Sir Arther Conan Doyle  Book one was signed the rest initialed after cleaning them up they went for $1500

I've noticed that sometimes I'm on the same wavelength as other aspies. I first noticed this with my cousins' wife. When I see her at family reunions, we can finish eachothers sentences!!  :o :o :o

It's called "eliminating the middleman." We need a lot more of that.
