Two major memories of Edinburg:  The war banners in the cathedral and the one way traffic in Edinburgh Castle which meant I saw more armor, weaponry and the like in one hour than I had ever wanted to see in my life.  But the pet cemetery at the Castle was touching.

Probably not.  We took the High Mile (?) for a ways and the major shopping street.  We were only there 2 days in 1979.  I was visiting a very dear girlfriend in the Army stationed in Germany and it was our first 2 days togther, so we had a lot of talking to catch up on.

I love Edinburgh, it's my favourite city that I've been to. Glasgow's cool and Belfast's OK although I haven't really got to know it yet. London's brilliant, but it's too big for me and all the cool stuff's spread out over a huge area. Edinburgh's beautiful and fairly compact. I spent quite a lot of time there when I was younger and knew a few folk from there.
