Before my wife was a teacher she was a waitress at a dinner and fell and blew out her knee bad enough to have to wear a brace for months on a wet floor

I'm sorry to hear that...did the knee ever get back to normal, or does it still bother her? ???

As for me, I landed on my side both times, lots of padding to soften the landings!

No I don't think it will ever be the same she still can't run or jog for more than a hundred feet
Her knee just slid out the wrong way under her

I wonder if surgery could help her.  Did she see an orthopedic surgeon?

I wound up having surgery on my ankle after eight months of trying physical therapy first and I don't think it would have really gotten better without the surgery, so that's where I'm coming from.

Eight months of physical therapy... :plus: for perseverance! I doubt I would have tried that long before demanding surgery. :o

I just found some unlaundered clothes that I forgot I had! Into the laundry bag they go, to be washed tomorrow... :headbang2:

Found a gorgeous almost intact green little eggshell. Nearly stepped on it. Picked it up and put it on a place where another user of the path will have to see it. Unless they walk with their eyes closed.

That's cool.  I wonder what kind of bird laid it?

I found that I can write for ten minutes, tops, without shirking. :zoinks:

Could very well be, it was close to a place where a white blackbird dwells too. Could also be a song thrush though.

Blackbirds are very brave indeed. They take on a fight with a car if needs be. (Lots of casualties with them, because of that)

As long as you limit the shirking to carefully timed "breaks," and then keep resuming work after each one, you could still finish the paper! :asthing:

Doesn't look like I will. Maybe I don't have faith in the topic I chose. I've never procrastinated this much when writing before. :-\

Sometimes I can find writing on a topic I love equally as draining, so try not to doubt your topic.

I hope it passes. I do a lot of writing to deadlines now, and fuck it's hard if there's a block, so feeling your pain. (I know a lot of my spastic posts would indicate that I may have NO writing skills, but I come here to relax, and NOT focusing on what I write actually is good for me - probably not for people who don't get my points! Sorry for the comprehension pain I inflict!)
