FINALLY!
I found my gassing taps! I've been looking for them everywhere. But, you know what its like hunting for something...if you find it, its always in the very last place you look
They aren't anything complicated. But they are extremely useful little items to have, for whenever one wishes to bubble a gas generated in a one flask into a liquid residing in another one, or pass gas (yeah, I've seen that one coming already) through solids or finely divided something or other. Its basically similar to a stopper, in length, only it has a hose barb on the side, like the type used for connections in vacuum rigs, and a larger hole at the top to plug it up or otherwise, say, fit a drying trap or some other contraption, an addition funnel or what have ye'.
The addition funnel goes on the top, the bottom of the tap goes into the flask full of one of the chemicals used to prepare the gas, while the funnel dispenses the other one (or mixture of course if applicable) and the gas comes out of the side, through the hose barb connection and goes wherever the tubing and whatever might be stuck on/in/up it, goes, be it a flask, a beaker, or a roadkilled badger's rotting chocolate starfish
Finally found the set of taps in a polystyrene hinged little box, where they'd been hidden under some graphite electrodes of various types.
