A new ship museum which I took the boy too. Beautiful day for a drive up north. Colours of the trees right now are stunning.

I am SOOOOOOOOO grossed out.  :puke:

Without putting too fine a point on it, when you take a "protected/illegal to kill" animal for ones own personal gain (we will not discuss how easy it is to walk up to a huge flock of Canada geese with a backpack and a bag of Fritos and walk away with a meal for three days. A delicious meal, BTW) Are you NOT supposed to place all the remains in "your neighbor's"  garbage can?  :evillaugh:
... or some place safe from discovery?
Placing the remains under your house not only makes a clear Federal case against you, but you will have stink under your house. :yuck:

Interesting find, Parts!

My guess is a cat or something got ahold of what was left after someone cut the head off and had it for dinner.

SO, you also believe that a Federal crime has been committed?

Honestly, I do not understand why Canada geese are protected. Maybe keep them safe from being hunted on a widespread basis as they were in the '40s, '50s and '60s, resulting in declining numbers, but the numbers of these game birds have recovered.

We should be allowed to (OK, we will need to buy a license and register each one we take, just like most big game. Fine!) eat them, without endangering our future.

Very likely.

I have had neighbours with a broken trash-bin. They also ate a lot of birds and fish. All the cats, and if they could break loose dogs of the neighbourhood would go there, scavenging. Because the neighbours had a dog of themselves too, the cats would dive into the bin, grab what they liked, and then run over to our garden, out of reach of the dog. There was a secluded strip in my garden that I had to clean daily. It would be littered with half carcasses, if I was gone for a few days.

I did not mind those neighbours moving away. It was not only their abundance of animal remains in their bins. The rest of their cooking was gross, and the sound they produced was too much, lots of angry yelling.

Actually the picture isn't disturbing but the quote in his sig line under it is when you put the two of them together. "Eat it up.  Wear it out.  Make it do or do without."   :lol1:

Today I took the oldest out to find him a Halloween costume for the party he's going to next week. He got a men's button up work shirt that says "Zombie Apocolypse Killing Crew" with the tag line "We kill 'em dead". Then a matching work hat to go with it. His trick or treat bag says Zombie Survival Kit on it.  8)

You can hunt them legally in Ct and RI in fact they are in season now, and they taste very good.  I had figured a raccoon had dragged it in there.  The house was in a beautiful spot in a private community on a rocky point, with water views

In my city they are a nuisance.  The come in and the fall and winter over in our nicer parks.  We have a winter-long off-leash program now hoping that people will bring their dogs down there and drive them all out.

They try and tag them around here to see which ones stick around giving them a numbered collar if they suspect it, they also have a special extended season on them after the migratory ones should have passed through
