Your more than welcome to section me QV, if your going to forcibly medicate me with some of that^;)
Although I did just scarf down two family sized packs of frozen cadbury's icecream filled minirolls, got three left now, plus a few crumbs of chocolate....oops:P
They weren't for the family mind you, I did buy them for myself, with my own money, I just hadn't quite planned on eating two full packs at once almost.
Why the cogentin if your not taking that haldol shite? or is that just to have it kick in first *shudders involuntarily, making somewhat of a mental comparison to his experience on mirtazepine...just..ew:P*
Although in fairness I don't even take domperidone, which isn't meant to cross the BBB, I still get nasty reactions from even the weaker D2 antagonists like that, or promethazine (although it is a phenothiazine, and related as such to the first-generation APs) and with my GI issues, if it hospitalizes me I need to be fairly careful and check every time I get given anything I don't already know by sight to make damn sure I don't ever get given anything like prochlorperazine or trifluoroperazine etc for the vomiting. the medics don't like it, but one of the few REALLY effective antisickness meds I can take AND which work well are the 5HT3 antagonists, which typically means ondansetron. Lol the last script I got for that I worked out from the BNF list prices to have cost the NHS £70-something and that was for just 20 pills. They don't like giving me it because I'm not on chemo, but there ISN'T much else that can stop things getting way out of hand when I get the flares of my stomach troubles. Partly because I can't tolerate D2 antagonists at all, and I'm already ON pretty much every other available option so it and its relatives, pricey or not, are whats left, since diphenhydramine (and dimenhydrinate, by extension because thats just a prodrug of diphenhydramine and some xanthine stimulant, caffeine or theophylline iirc can't remember which so if you don't tolerate one you won't like the other, unless the intolerance is specifically the caffeine/xanthines rather than the antihistamine) it impairs my memory and cognition so severely it almost resembles the effects of a neuroleptic in other people and I absolutely LOATHE the stuff. Nytol doesn't help me sleep, it makes me feel like utter complete hammered shit. In a microwave.
Ive kinda been getting out of the habit of being all that great of taking many of mine, but I only sometimes need the 8-9 different stomach meds, and only use the corticosteroid gel or NSAID gel intermittently when the problems flare up anyway All I've taken today is the chlormethiazole, just enough morphine to let me rest and make my hips stop hurting, although could do with a bit more as my knee is still hurting, clonidine and tizanidine, more or less the bare minimum apart from a temp. antibiotic and of the stomach meds only cimetidine, for its alternate use. Unless you count hitting the odd bowl, this smoke be making lestat sleepy. back to fallout II methinks.
