Not all of it, yet.  I'm waiting for the omeprazole to settle first.  :P

Yes. Although not much of my morphine and haven't had the morning (last morning just gone) dose of nitrazepam or evening one of chlormethiazole. I was meant to be having a gastroscopy, but they couldn't find a vein for conscious sedation. So had to rebook for a general via inhalational anaesthesia.

Should have listened to me, because the morphine dose I DID take, was IV, when I got home. And I got it in there well enough

Can't take the L-Lysine horse pills because I've run out.  :tard:

For some reason my doctor rang me last evening after surgery closed whilst he worked late, and told me 'you must be needing some more oxycodone and nitrazepam, right?'

No idea WHY I should have been needing more, but I just agreed with him on principle, better to accept an offer than need to ask and have the possibility of refusal in existence. Managed to get some more chlormethiazole out of him too, plus a lot of cimetidine, an anti-acid reflux antacid type drug, that also is handy due to its blocking metabolism of morphine and oxy, like grapefruit juice does, does the same to benzodiazepines such as the nitrazepam too.

He'd already given me 20 5mg tabs of the nitrazepam, and I'd used just a very few, still had most of them, but he just gave me 14 extra, offered on that phonecall. I'm not complaining, he offered, so I simply confirmed the need he said I apparently had. I like to keep at least a few benzos in stockpile, just for the those occasional hell-on-earth days when everything goes to dogshit on a bicycle and stress levels through the roof. That way I can respond right then and there, after said canine ordure meets the fan, rather than both need to wait until the morning after (or worse, entire weekend if it be a friday) and even then have no guarantee. So if he offers, I'm taking the script. He did, I did, and just collected them earlier. Already had just under 25 of the moggies, another 14 aren't going to be spat on if offered. In fact, I think I'll pop a couple of them now, not out of need, but since there is such a large surplus, two can go to the cause of drastically improving the potency of the one bottle of beer I have left open in front of me and make for a nice relaxing day playing the videogame I've been at lately. Doubtless not what he intended. But oh well. That would be a week worth too, although I'll get another 14 or 20 when the surgery opens next week, and build up a nice big stockpile, for those days when they are really needed so I do not need to ask someone and depend on their good will, and for those occasional nights where I not only CAN'T sleep, but CBF doing anything in the lab to pass the time, if I'm too tired to be on form, and just want to sleep.

Just split 60mg oxy powder into two lines, one up each nostril earlier. And just about to have another wee bit up the snout for the medically critical reason of making the rollup I am about to roll more enjoyable :autism:

Had about 7-8 chlormethiazole caps on top of my morning dose as well, since I more or less just got a pretty decent freebie for no apparent reason that I can discern.

Did I already write that different brands come with different sizes of pills? Weird but true. The cheap ones I most of the time have are way bigger than the expensive ones I have at the moment.

For the cat I have it as a powder. He should get half the dosage of a human. And by the looks of it that is less than half of a pill in amount.

Maybe it will be worth looking for a powder form for humans.

^How is your new cat going with that?

I have noticed that on my lithium packet it says "DO NOT BREAK THE TABLETS", yet there is a score line on each tablet so they can be broken in half. WTF?

Did medicate kid. Forgot myself and cat. We'll be fine without the L-Lysine for a day.

All medicated.  This thread has reminded me on a few occasions when I'd forgotten.  :)

Strikes me as pretty stupid (the score line)

The bit about not breaking them, are they some sort of extended release formulation? if not, then my guess as to the reason for said exhortation, would be that since Li requires close monitoring of plasma levels, if the pills are IR, and broken, then there is more surface area available. From experience with various other kinds of pills, if they are added to water, or some other solvent, even if not actually crushed, they do break down faster, if added as chunks of tablet rather than finely powdered. This of course, will lead to higher peak concentrations of Li+, once one has been taking whatever drug (ignoring of course, lipophilicity of some drugs resulting in their being stored in fatty tissue, but in this case, not much of an issue. But once steady state has been reached, peaks and troughs are undesirable almost always. And particularly with a drug such as lithium.

Personally I'd sooner be at it salts with a pair of electrodes, a blowtorch, hotplate and a tank of argon :D

(electrolysis of alkali metal compounds is quite a fun process. Li is rather more gentle than the others, more forgiving, but when its at a few hundred degrees 'C, and you are performing electrolysis of molten caustics, or other salts, oh DAMN can things get a little..err...mmmhhmm...hairy...to say the least. Sodium metal is lively enough at room temperature, but at the melting point of its hydroxide (lye, caustic soda, NaOH) once one starts shoving that current through the melt, if inert gas coverage is insufficient then it will make quite a violent crack, and if the electrodes short then it is...not pretty. Second thoughts I take that last bit back, its fun as hell, but best be wearing a full face shield and gloves resistant to strong alkali and brief high temperatures.  Concentrated caustic soda on unbroken skin as long as it is washed off right away isn't too problematic, but when molten, as fused, anhydrous NaOH the stuff is brutal. Never got it on me, but it chews through graphite electrodes like a famine victim allowed to run wild in a macdonalds. Or to run wild somewhere that either produces, stores or supplies food for that matter.
Beyond the pale. Way, way beyond the pale.
