Just took my morning dose of oxy, and about to do the same with the clonidine.
Had that early morning appointment, as crowborn annoying as it was to have to get up and be there for 10:30 am.
Glad I did though, as I finally had managed to get an appointment with my regular doc (who is often on holiday and damn difficult to get hold of. Unless I get him to prebook my next appointment every time I go in, all of them get taken the moment the surgery opens)
And he switched me from 60mg of my oxy twice daily, to 80 twice a day, and it has really made all the difference. I was pretty shocked at the time, as I didn't even ASK him to. Normally its about as easy as juggling puff adders to get appropriate levels of analgesia out of ANY doc in this country. But he said that he realizes how much pain I'm in now, after finding out that a walk of maybe one hour into town leaves me having to rest my bad leg and lie down for 2 days after, 3 on a bad day.
I'll be very glad when I FINALLY get my MRI scan done, as my doc is going to re-do the methylprednisolone/local anaesthetic block for my knee and hip after that. Those worked fantastic at easing the stiffness in both my hip and knee both, and to a degree, to bring the swelling down I get in my knee. (its been even more severely swollen, just below my kneecap, from where I had surgery to remove some hypertrophic bone growth from behind my left patellar tendon, and even on strong antiinflammatories, its been refusing to go down, even after 6-7 years)
Bloody fed up with it.
