I joined just to keep in touch with people I rarely see of find people from collage.  This is all I do there and intend to.  That being said what is all this stuff with planting trees,  pies and other stuff people keep asking me about?  Almost seems cultish. I don't go there without at least ten requests for this stuff and friend requests for people who I have no idea who they are.  Is there some secret agenda at work here?

  Probably.

Being the neb that I am, I joined just so that I could check out the profiles of people that I went to school with and see how they faired in life.

Don't think I even filled out most of my profile, didn't put up a pic & still got quite a few friend requests. ???

Wish I could set the place so that I could ignore all that rubbish.

they're just games people play

they can get addictive

and people end up automatically sending a load of shite to everyone on their list

it's not socially wrong to ignore these tho

i mean if u get a load of stuff asking for help on the farm or whatever, u don't need to reply to it or anything, just ignore it

i ignore most crap on there unless it's proper comments etc

I thought that game was weird too. I overheard my sisters talking about planting pineapples on each others farm and I'm like WTF, you don't have farms....then they explained and showed me the game. I thought it was strange, but I suppose, not any different from any other computer game really....just a way to pass the time....

yeh i think it's coz it's so easy to pass the time with - coz it's within facebook and you play it with people on your friends list so you just end up getting into it and then you're addicted for ages. i used to play mobwars where you go round shooting people :P

I'm tempted to unfriend all who do too much of those games. They may play their games. But I don't need to be informed.

They may play boardgames at home too, or join Neopets or so. As long as they don't call me to tell me, I don't mind.

I didn't know you had sisters eclair. I thought you only had a brother.

I get invitations to things on facebook but I ignore them all. I have an account but they have groups there and I am in a couple aspie groups and one group about my city. I am also in a ponyland catfights group. I also have my online friends on my friends and my old high school mates. I even have one of the old special ed aids on there. I knew her in high school. I don't approve anyone who is a stranger. I have to know them from a forum I go to or be someone I know in real life or knew in real life. It's best to tell me who you are when you add me so that I don't reject you if I couldn't figure out who you are. When I added someone, I told her who I was by telling her my WP name.

hyke you can set it to stop showing thigns by certain applications if u want

like when you see one on your wall click 'hide' next to it and a thing should come up asking if u want to hide everything by that person or everything from that app

you should stop seeing them then
