Yeah I've been on facebook for about a year. Only have 22 friends but I don't add everyone. I even trimmed a few family members that give me the shits. Plus I block all the Apps, games, quizzes etc, that crap is just bullshit. I'd rather read something that someone took the time to think of and type up.

Yeah, that's the impression I get...it becomes a web of people you DON'T really want to hear from!

My Twitter account became tiresome for the same reason...I started following too many people, admittedly in some cases because I thought they might be sources of info about my personal interests  , and some of them just  ! Who has time to read all that?!

It was my sisters and my step dad. I really didn't want them reading my shit. Plus my youngest sister is just a nasty sponging piece of shit and my other sister is a constant complainer.

hyke you can set it to stop showing thigns by certain applications if u want

like when you see one on your wall click 'hide' next to it and a thing should come up asking if u want to hide everything by that person or everything from that app

LOL, while making a lot of things invisible, having my whole screen filled with acknowledgements of my actions, new messages about fishes and hugs and hearts etc. kept popping up. Will take a while till I have most of it weeded out. But am very grateful for you pointing out this option Soph.
